The Journey begins - Volvo Cars (Sweden) brand launch event in Vietnam

On December 1st, 2016, at GEM Center in Ho Chi Minh City, Volvo held the Volvo Cars brand launch event in Vietnam. The event was attended by Mr. Pereric Högberg - Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam, Mr. Jari Kohonen - Vice Chairman of Volvo Cars Group in Asia Pacific with many partners and customers interested in Volvo brand.

 Since December 1st, 2016, Bac Au Auto has officially distributed products of Volvo Cars, provided after-sales service, genuine spare parts and accessories according to the global standards of Volvo Cars in Vietnam. In the first stage, the system of Bac Au Auto has two 4S centers in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City and in Long Bien District, Hanoi, a showroom on Dong Khoi Street, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City. Bac Au Auto will develop the sales network and after-sales service in other markets in the future. To ensure after-sales services nationwide, Bac Au Auto has focused on mobile services for customers in the areas where there haven’t been authorized service stations yet

At the ceremony, the Swedish Ambassador to Vietnam said: "The Volvo Cars brand launch event marks the start of a new journey. I am pleased to send invitations to all potential customers of Volvo in Vietnam to explore with me the style, comfort and safety that Volvo cars offer. The slogan "Made by Sweden" can say it all. Volvo manifests the core values of Sweden, which are a combination of quality, safety, breakthroughs in technology and Scandinavian specific design style with humanitarian principles, profound interest in people and environment protection and aiming to sustainable development. It is not accidental that Volvo became the preferred option of the King and the Prime Minister of our country".

 

Meanwhile, Mr. Jari Kohonen - representative of Volvo Cars Group, Vice Chairman of Volvo Cars Group in Asia Pacific said that this was a favorable time for Vietnam consumers to have the opportunity to use world leading automobile products with high-quality, high safety and advanced technology of Volvo Cars. With the design principle focusing on the human being “Designed Around You”, the products of Volvo Cars made our life simpler while emphasizing always its commitments about safety, quality and environment (the emission standard of Volvo vehicles is Euro 6). He also said that Volvo was developing a self-driving vehicle technology, and it would be tested in Gothenburg, London and Shanghai in the near future. The cooperation among Volvo Cars, Uber and Autoliv - a provider of leading safety systems for car manufacturers around the world to develop and do business of software systems for self-driving vehicles would also be the strong commitments of Volvo cars in the field of breakthrough technology development that would change the automobile industry in the future
